An established construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Consultant Project Manager for their Belfast office. The role involves overseeing major construction projects across the UK and Ireland, managing junior staff, and ensuring timely completion within budget. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in the construction sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering high value construction schemes.
  • Experience in a client side / consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee & manage large scale projects across the UK and Ireland.
  • Manage junior members of staff while reporting to senior management.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Established capability in report writing
Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary design team
Track record of leading on decision making
Proficient in MS Project

Education

Degree in a construction related discipline
Chartered Status (ideally)

Due to continued growth, WH Stephens require a Senior Consultant Project Manager to join the team in our Belfast office to work on major construction projects across the UK and Ireland. This is an opportunity to build on your experience to date by working on high-profile public sector projects, alongside senior construction professionals with 25 years + experience.

We are a leading, independent consultancy and work with owners, occupiers, developers, and funders, across both private and public sectors. Due to continuous growth, we now seek a Senior Project Manager to join the growing team in our Belfast office.

Your new role

Becoming a Senior member of the team you will oversee & manage large scale projects across the UK and Ireland. We have recently been appointed to several exciting new projects and you will oversee the lifecycle of each. In addition, you will manage junior members of staff while reporting to the senior management team.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful as a Senior Project Manager you will have a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in the construction sector, demonstrating appropriate skills within a similar role, ideally within a client side / consultancy environment. You will have a degree in a construction related discipline ideally with Chartered Status. It is essential that you have a proven track record of delivering high value construction schemes from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they were completed on time and within budget. Key skills which will support your application include:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Established capability in report writing
  • Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary design team in a client facing role
  • Track record of leading on decision making within project delivery
  • Proficient in MS Project (or similar)
