Job summary

A regional healthcare provider is seeking a Senior Community Mental Health Practitioner to join their newly developed team in Chester. Ideal candidates will participate in important interventions for those with varying degrees of mental health needs. The role includes providing supervision and coaching to junior colleagues, as well as ensuring the effective delivery of community-based support. Applicants should have at least 18 months of post-qualifying experience and must demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Must have 18 months post-qualifying experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of evidence-based practice in mental health.
  • Understanding of Mental Health legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver intervention in the community with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Participate in triage and complex assessments.

Skills

Significant experience working with people with mental ill health
Working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
Providing clinical supervision
Mentoring students
Quality improvement activities
Leadership or management experience
Strong assessment and interpersonal skills
Clinical risk assessment and management

Education

Current professional registration with an approved professional body
Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2
