Description
Purpose of the role:
- To provide analysis of, and help develop solutions for, business problems and initiatives.
- To provide guidance and support to other Business Analysts within Business Services and DACB.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the clear and accurate identification of business problems and requirements
- Production of appropriately documented, effective and measurable solution designs
- Clear communication with and to all stakeholders
- Data Analysis and Insights
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Management and reporting of team workload and to assist in resource planning
- Mentor and develop junior team members, including on-boarding new starters
- Is also willing to take ownership on any other tasks and responsibilities as required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Have extensive and current business analysis experience working across the full IT development life cycle
- Have extensive and current experience of business process re-engineering for delivering business change
- Have significant experience of working with SSADM/OO/Lean/Agile and other methodologies
- Be proficient with requirements capture and diagramming tools e.g. Visio, Azure Dev Ops
- Have experience of reporting to and working closely with senior business stakeholders and project sponsors
- Have experience of guiding and mentoring other analysts to produce work of consistent quality

- Have the ability to work simultaneously on multiple small and/or large assignments
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with change management and benefits realisation methodologies (e.g., MSP or APMG Managing Benefits).
