Job description
The Opportunity

We are looking for a 3+ PQE English qualified lawyer to join our Commercial and Privacy team in Manchester. In this position, you will assist our growing number of diverse clients with a varied range of commercial, privacy and general corporate work. LegalVision's clients operate in a range of industries, including SaaS/IT, healthcare, e-commerce, construction and recruitment. Our ideal candidate has a strong grasp of the UK's data protection legislation (including the UK GDPR), as well as consumer laws. This position is ideal for a mid-level lawyer with broad commercial and privacy law expertise. You should have experience in efficiently managing workflows and matters in a fast paced, high volume environment, and effectively communicating directly with clients.   • Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, including supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, e-commerce documents, IT and software contracts, IP and licensing agreements, contractor agreements and referral agreements
  • Drafting and reviewing privacy policies and internal privacy manuals
  • Advising on the GDPR, including responding to data subject access requests, data breaches, controller/processor arrangements, and AI implications
  • Advising on UK consumer laws
  • Advising on company structuring, and preparing articles of association and shareholder agreements
  • Assisting clients with general corporate governance, such as share splits, share issues and transfers
