Fixed Term – Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (32.5hpw) – fixed term until 17th July 2026, due to pupil numbers. There may be the opportunity for this to be extended. There will also be a lunchtime commitment of 30 minutes a day.

PCD5 £25,989 per annum pro rata (32.5 hpw) term time only plus 1 week INSET

Burgh by Sands School are seeking to recruit a skilled, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to work with SEN pupils across KS2. The successful candidates should be capable of integrating swiftly and successfully into our hard working, friendly and experienced team as soon as possible.

The role will involve working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals to deliver targeted support and ensure positive outcomes for pupils.

  • Is calm, patient, resilient and flexible, with the ability to adapt to the child’s needs.
  • Is enthusiastic, motivated and fully prepared to participate in the wider life of the school.
  • Can follow direction from the class teacher and also use their own initiative.
  • Can work effectively as part of a committed staff team
