An educational organization in Norwich is seeking an SEN Teacher to guide the development of pupils with autism. Responsibilities include creating personalized learning plans and fostering strong communication with families. Ideal candidates will have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and hold UK Qualified Teacher Status. Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent – Term Time only
Start date: January 2026

As an SEN Teacher, you will be at the heart of your class team – guiding academic growth, social development, and communication skills with a focus on meaningful, successful learning. You will plan and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with Formal or Semi‑Formal Curriculum Pathways, create engaging learning environments, and develop resources that inspire and challenge. Building positive relationships with pupils and families will be key as you support every child’s journey.
Acorn Park is a school for 160 pupils, all with a primary diagnosis of autism. We run two curriculum pathways – Formal and Semi‑formal. Our complex‑needs pupils are on the Semi‑Formal Pathway, which is highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mixture of day and residential pupils, with eight co‑located pupil homes on our 30‑acre site in rural Norfolk. On site we also have a large forest school, animal care farm, play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms.

You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit.
