Who are we looking for?

A highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer who can apply thorough access control procedures, carry out site inductions, planned and ad‑hoc site patrols, and follow prescribed escalation and communication procedures in an emergency. The role requires working an average of 36 hours per week covering days and nights.

What You Will Need
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
  • A valid SIA CCTV Licence – desirable.
  • Confidence and ability to establish good working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft software packages (e.g. Excel).
  • Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards and DV clearance standards.
What Are You Going To Do
  • Maintain overall surveillance of the site and carry out regular patrols, recording as per Corps and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all visitors and contractors are correctly briefed, sign in/out and captured in delivery record processes.
  • Record entry and exit of delivery and process paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
  • Carry out patrols to correct standards.
  • Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours provision if applicable.
  • Comply with site waste management procedures.
  • Complete required documents: daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and site‑specific reports.
  • Stay familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise the Corps Duty Manager or client personnel on improvements.
  • Maintain your own training records via the Corps Colleague Portal; keep first aid and fire marshal training up‑to‑date.
  • Continuously apply SIA skills, displaying your licence at all times.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
