School Facilities Manager

Location: Lift Maltings, Spinks Lane, Witham, Essex, CM8 1EP, United Kingdom

Salary: £28,140.38 - 31,020.22 per annum + Wellbeing Cash Plan + Car Scheme + Pension Scheme (LGPS) + Lift Benefits

Employment type: Permanent, full time; 37 hours per week; 52.14 weeks per year; Start February 2026

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, including opening, closing, and security.
• Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and general DIY tasks.
• Ensure the school is clean, tidy, and well‑presented at all times.
• Set up spaces for school and community events.
• Monitor contractors and manage deliveries efficiently.
• Support statutory health and safety checks and record‑keeping.
• Respond to site issues, emergencies, and maintenance requests promptly.

About Lift Maltings

Lift Maltings is an 11–16 school based in Witham, Essex. Situated between Chelmsford and Colchester, the school has 900 students on roll and benefits from a modern, purpose‑built site opened in 2011.
