School Administrator

Craigroyston Primary School

Salary: £26,337 - £28,835 (pro‑rata for part‑time and sessional)

Hours: 31 per week, 40 weeks sessional

Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 15.30pm & Friday 8.00am – 13.00pm

As a senior member of the business support team, you will need excellent organisational and time–management skills backed by local‑authority or school experience. You will be flexible, well‑organised and possess strong interpersonal skills. Often being the first point of contact for parents/carers and the public, you must communicate efficiently, compassionately and personably to build relationships.

In addition, you will manage the day‑to‑day operations of a busy office‑based team. Impeccable administrative skills are required, as is the ability to create, implement and maintain systems that ensure the smooth running of our office.

You will also work closely with the Business Manager and the Head Teacher, monitoring and administering financial activities. Experience with financial systems and processes is desirable. The successful candidate will manage various computerised systems, such as SEEMIS, and be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
