Previous BEMS experience required
The position operates at a direct sales & sales management level and reports to the Durham Senior Sales Manager.
The principal aim of this role is to lead and unite a sales team to ensure a high-quality customer service is delivered to E. ON customers whilst supporting the regional growth expectations.
In addition, the role will work with existing customers and target new customers, projects, and major upgrade work opportunities from end users, public sector, main contractors, and M&E contractors in the Northern (Durham)region.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Targeting consultants, M&E contractors, and end users in the Northern region to secure BMS projects, upgrades, and energy works.
- With the support of your regional sales manager, develop the sales plan for the region to support the regional growth expectations.
- Ensuring sales budgets are set for each member of the sales team.
- Successfully deliver a sales budget utilizing the existing client base and seeking new opportunities from within the client base
- Develop a key account list to work from ensure time is spent between own sales and supporting the sales team.
- Develop the sales team to successfully deliver each of the sales targets.
- Deliver successful service contracts.
- Introduce additional and new E. ON services to the current client base.
- Forecast labour requirements for upcoming project works to help overall branch planning with the operations manager.
- Work with direct report managers to seek new opportunities and to bring added value to the existing client base.
- Take the lead and own customer escalation issues through to conclusion.
- Recognise the importance of procedures and processes and adhere to these to deliver a high standard of customer service.
- Work with the Regional Manager & Senior Sales Manager to ensure service renewals are completed and follow up with agreed contract increases where needed.
- Customer Retention at renewal (measured KPI)
- Frequently interface and communicate with customers to assist with account development.
- Liaise with internal colleagues to co-ordinate end-to-end delivery of Customer Service
- Work confidently within a pressurized environment, multitasking between the different operational disciplines
- Carry out annual appraisals of direct report staff to regularly monitor their performance.
- Communicate, direct, coach and develop direct reports.
Specific Job Knowledge & Skills & Experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role with at least 5 years in a project sales & management role. Ideally, have an in-depth product knowledge of estimating, bid management, and Building Management Systems. Have a good understanding of the Region and existing relationships with contractors, end users, and consultants in the area.
