Responsibilities

• Ensure medicine reconciliations on assigned wards are completed as soon as possible after admission.
• Ensure discharge prescriptions are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
• Respond to medicines information queries and conduct audits.
• Rotate through each speciality every 12 months.
• Prescribe within the level of competence of the job holder.
• Provide, deliver and develop the clinical pharmacy service in accordance with agreed objectives.
• Co‑ordinate the day‑to‑day activities in the assigned area.
• Act as a role model for clinical pharmacy practice and provide training for medical, nursing and pharmacy staff.
