A leading recycling company in Glasgow is seeking a Repair Operative to refurbish electrical equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for cleaning, testing, and ensuring products meet quality standards while achieving production targets. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess knowledge of public safety. This position offers a full-time schedule with a focus on sustainability and teamwork.
Fulltime, permanent, 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am – 2pm on Friday.
About the role:
Our Repair operation works with businesses across the UK to help extend the life of their electrical equipment and machiner y. As a Repair Operative you will be responsible for re furbish ing products to a high standard , supporting customers in achieving the transition to a circular economy . Your key responsibilities include, but are no t limited to:
· Strip, clean and refurbish products according to a specific quality standard
· Carry out detailed visual inspections
· Carry out mechanical and electrical testing on products
· Refurbish products to agreed quality standard, reclaiming as many components parts as possible, in line with the ethos of the business
· Complete daily/weekly production level targets
· Work on a range of different products throughout the working day or week
· Depending on the requirements of the business, you may be asked to support other departments should there be increased demand in those areas.
