A leading independent charity in the UK seeks a Rehabilitative Palliative Care Assistant to support their Inpatient Unit team. This role involves providing essential care fundamentals and delivering a range of patient interventions using a holistic approach. The post holder plays a critical role in empowering the team to apply rehabilitative palliative care principles effectively. The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week, with variable shifts including weekends and unsociable hours. Competitive salary and attractive leave benefits are provided.
Title: Rehabilitative Palliative Care Assistant
Salary: £24,005 pa (FTE)- plus enhancements – Saturday-midnight to midnight + weekdays after 8pm and before 6am = 30% Sunday + Public Holidays = 60%.
Location: Tapping House, Wheatfields, Hillington
Hours of work: 30 hours per week – variable shifts including weekends and unsocialable hours
Annual Leave: 25 days increasing to 27 after 5 years’ service and 29 after 9 years’ service + 8 days in lieu of public holidays (FTE)

This post supports the Inpatient Unit team fulfil their objectives, ensuring the fundamentals of care are provided at the point of contact and ensures delivery of a range of interventions to meet the needs of patients within the IPU setting using a holistic approach. The post holder plays a critical role in empowering the IPU team to embed the principles of rehabilitative palliative care.
