About Sprout Labs

Sprout Labs is a fast-growing start-up focused on reading intervention, assessment, and tutoring for children ages 4–11. Our roots trace back to EarlyBird Education, where Dr. Nadine Gaab of the Harvard Graduate School of Education developed the EarlyBird dyslexia screener now used nationwide. Today, our team is dedicated to helping families by combining Orton-Gillingham (OG) methodology with our own phonological awareness curriculum in engaging, 1:1 online tutoring sessions.

The Role

We are seeking Reading Specialists to join us as independent contractors. You’ll work 1:1 with students in PreK–5th grade, providing structured literacy support grounded in the Science of Reading. We offer guaranteed tutoring hours for those available during high-demand times.

High-demand availability windows (EST):
  • Monday–Thursday, 4–9pm
  • Saturday, 9am–3pm
  • Sunday, 12–5pm
Qualifications:
  • M.Ed. in Reading, or equivalent
  • Completed additional training aligned with the Science of Reading (ex: OG practicum with certification, CALT certification)
  • Experience tutoring children with dyslexia
