Shift: Monday to Friday (core hours 08:30 – 17:00)

Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 per annum

Your Mission

Are you passionate about food innovation and eager to drive the future of bakery, patisserie, and chocolate ingredients? We are looking for an R&D Technologist specialising in Grains, Seeds & Sourdough to join our dynamic team as we transition from Liverpool to our new state‑of‑the‑art site in Buckingham.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the smooth transfer of our processes, developing prototypes, supporting product launches, and advancing both innovation and sustainability.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out dual responsibilities for Sourdough and Grains & Seeds at the Buckingham site.
  • Play a pivotal role in the smooth transition and successful transfer of Grains, Seeds & Sourdough between sites, including the initial set up in Buckingham.
  • Produce lab samples & prototypes for customer trailing.
  • Support the scale‑up of products from lab and pilot to full‑scale production.
  • Conduct shelf‑life testing and validate products.
  • Provide support to the factory on product launches and improvement initiatives.
  • Create product formulations based on customer briefs.
  • Test products in finished good applications (e.g. bread).
  • Support other team members and functions when needed.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or Product Development.
  • At least 3 years’ experience within food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
  • Ability to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad (approx. two days a week).
  • Open to flexible working hours.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate or awareness of food safety procedures.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite and SAP tools).
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence.
