Responsibilities
- Be responsible for following Otis commercial processes and procedures that will ultimately protect revenue.
- Manage the commercial risk to the business through driving delivery of contractual obligations and governance through the whole of the project life cycle.
- Assist in the financial management of the project ensuring cash‑flow forecasting is prepared and monitored closely including billings and payments.
- Evaluate and advise on financial implications of potential decisions.
- Advise on conflict avoidance, management and resolution; compile evidence for any claims and support the payment resolution process.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working on large complex projects of up to c£10 million.
- Experience within either lifts, construction or infrastructure, understanding of the commercial implications of a single source bespoke supply chain and highly regulated workforce environment.
- Working knowledge of JCT form of contract and the key activities to minimise risk.
- Resilience and proactive attitude to meet company commitments.

Fire Protection Business – Quantity Surveyor (South East)
An established, accredited fire protection business is growing fast and we’re on the hunt for a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join the team. If you thrive on keeping projects commercially sharp, financially controlled, and running like clockwork from tender through to final account, you’re going to fit in nicely. Key Functions & Responsibilities
- Pricing up design jobs and building tender specifications.
- Pricing up tender requests and building client relations.
- Price construction works and tender packs from post and pre contract stages.

Job Purpose
The provision of a professional and cost‑effective quantity surveying service both pre and post works contract across the Capital Delivery Team.
Job Duties
- Providing cost advice to officers across the service regarding works/projects, contract term, quotes, rates, costs, tenders, and variations.
- Reviewing incoming and outgoing construction related cost information received from external consultants and the Council for quality assurance.
- Conduct gap analysis cost studies of project documents received by external quantity surveying and or other building consultants.
