Are you passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and leading high-performing teams? We’re looking for an experienced Quality Lead Engineer to take ownership of a critical role within our organisation. In this position, you’ll lead a dedicated team of Quality Engineers and Technicians, ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest standards of compliance and performance.

You’ll play a pivotal role in resolving complex quality issues using the 8D methodology, driving root cause analysis and implementing robust corrective actions. Beyond problem-solving, you’ll champion continuous improvement by introducing new systems and processes aligned with our business strategy, fostering a culture of quality excellence across the site.

This role also involves managing supplier-related quality challenges, overseeing PPAP and control plan creation, and monitoring process stability through data analysis. You’ll lead initiatives in Goods Inwards, metrology, and Inks QC, while supporting KPI reporting and developing advanced metrology techniques to enhance laboratory efficiency. Knowledge and skills required for the role:
  • Several year’s experience in manufacturing processes
  • Must have sound understanding of the 8d process and tools used to help establish root cause (Ishikawa, Red X, …)
  • Possess a track record of achievement within the realms of Quality Engineering
  • Ideally degree qualified or HNC with additional experience in engineering or manufacturing discipline
  • Fully conversant with engineering and quality principles (core quality tools, including but not limited to SPC, Gauge R&R, DoE, sampling plans, NPI)
  • Familiar with range of measuring and inspection equipment and can interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Excellent computer skills (including but not limited to Windows, Office, MS Access)
  • Strong statistical knowledge with advanced use of statistical software such as Minitab and practical use of statistical process control
  • Experienced in Supplier Management and Issue Resolution
