Overview

Quality Inspector — Pitstone, Tring, Hertfordshire

Salary: £33,225 per annum

Role and Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure goods on the manufacturing line.
  • Pass, refer, or fail goods on the line as appropriate, keeping the Line Engineer informed with regular updates.
  • Use a multitude of hand tools including screwdrivers, pliers, torque wrenches, as well as precision measuring equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to the work area and processes.
  • Manually handle products weighing up to 25 kg, using lift aids where appropriate.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts and related documentation at a high level.
Requirements

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read engineering documents to a good level, including drawings and layouts.
  • Capability of using manual tools and precision measuring equipment.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards – desirable.
  • Experience using SAP would be useful but not essential.
  • Ability to read Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins and related documentation techniques.
  • Evidence of written English at interview stage.
