Job description

Production Operative - 06h00-14h00 is a role at Sinziger Musikschule within a cutting‑edge vertical farming facility in Easton, Norwich.

About the role

Location: Easton, Norwich
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00
Future Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 06:00 – 18:00
Pay: £12.21 – £12.27 per hour (after successful 2‑week training)
Pay after 12 weeks: £12.56 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks

Duties
  • Placing wet mats into aluminium trays
  • Seeding mats accurately
  • Trimming and sizing products to meet customer specifications
  • Manual weighing and bulk packing of produce
  • Packing finished goods ready for distribution
  • Preparing production lines for daily operations
  • Carrying out hygiene duties: cleaning, mopping, and general tidying
Working Conditions & PPE
  • General working area temperature: 18°C
  • Packing room temperature: 8°C – suitable clothing is recommended
  • Full PPE provided: overalls, hairnet, wellington boots
  • Additional PPE (face masks and safety glasses) required in some areas
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is preferred
  • Comfortable working in cooler environments
  • Must be reliable, hard‑working, and team‑focused
  • Able to adapt to a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern after initial training
  • Own transport is essential due to rural location and shift times
