A leading educational institution in Wolverhampton is seeking a Principal Lecturer in Psychology and Professional Practice to enhance postgraduate study and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate, strong leadership skills, and experience in curriculum development. This position involves being part of the Senior Leadership Team, promoting student success, and exemplifying current professional practices in psychology. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
The School of Education and Psychology is seeking a Principal Lecturer in Psychology and Professional Practice to drive forward the strategic direction within the discipline with a particular focus on leading postgraduate study.
You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team in the new school. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate that they are an excellent communicator and have an exemplary track record within teaching in Higher Education.
You will need to demonstrate experience of leadership and management, curriculum development across Psychology including programme development, accreditation, student success, research and external partnerships. You should have experience of the relevant UK PSRB requirements. This post requires someone who can bring the ‘lived experience’ with current and relevant professional practice as a role model for others.
You must hold a doctorate in a relevant field. Candidates will ideally be a HCPC registered practitioner of counselling psychology (or clinical) and psychotherapy.
