Job summary

A local authority organization in Scotland is seeking a proactive individual to join their team in a performance management role. The successful candidate will coordinate Directorate and Service Plans, produce management reports, and deliver timely performance updates. This position requires knowledge of performance strategy and the ability to work independently while collaborating across disciplines. The contract is fixed-term for up to 12 months, with interviews scheduled for January 2026.

We are looking for a confident, dynamic, and proactive person to join our team.

  • Knowledge of the Council's performance strategy and reporting, or
  • Experience of working in strategy and performance management.

As part of our team you will lead and support activities that ensure effective performance management across Environment and Infrastructure Services, including:

  • Coordinating and implementing Directorate and Service Plans.
  • Producing high‑quality management and committee performance reports.
  • Delivering timely performance updates and insights.
  • Supporting and maintaining performance management systems.
  • Assisting with responses to Freedom of Information (FOISA, EIRs) and Subject Access Requests (SAR).

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues from a range of disciplines while having the confidence to take initiative and work independently.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post has a minimum requirement of one reference which must be your current or most recent employer.

Fixed term contract not exceeding 12 months.

Interviews are expected to be held on Wednesday 21 January or Friday 23 January 2026.
