Overview

We are seeking a skilled PLC Engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming PLCs, developing HMI interfaces, and supporting the design, testing, and implementation of innovative solutions for our product range. This role requires strong technical expertise, creativity, and a collaborative approach to deliver reliable and cost-effective automation solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, program, and test PLC systems for new and existing products.
  • Develop and configure HMI interfaces to ensure intuitive and efficient operator interaction.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to create functional design concepts and oversee implementation of development projects.
  • Analyse and optimise control systems for improved performance and reliability.
  • Document electrical schematics, control logic, and operating manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities on-site when required.
  • Maintain a knowledge database for future projects and continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong electronics background
  • Proven experience in PLC programming (e.g., Ladder Logic, IEC Function Block)
  • Strong knowledge of HMI development tools and interface design
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, CANbus)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment
  • Ability to read and produce electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Advanced knowledge of electronics design
