A community-focused NGO in Ashington is seeking a People and Culture Manager to lead HR strategy and foster an inclusive workplace. The role involves managing the full employee lifecycle, advising leadership, and improving workplace practices with a focus on equity. Ideal candidates will have HR experience and a commitment to meaningful work. This is a stand‑alone role with real autonomy and influence, and the opportunity to help shape how people support develops in the future.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll have solid generalist HR experience and be comfortable working both strategically and operationally. You’ll be confident in influencing and constructively challenging leaders, committed to equity and inclusion, and motivated by work that genuinely matters.
Charity or not‑for‑profit experience is welcome, but not essential – mindset matters more.

Job Title: People and Culture Manager
Salary: £31,101 – £35,700 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: up to full time of 37 hours per week
Location: Ashington Hub, Jubilee Industrial Estate, with flexibility for hybrid working
