GLL is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the People Team based in Manchester on a part time basis (24 hours per week).If you have the skills and ambition to join us as a HR Advisor there's never been a more exciting time to join us. This is more than a HR Advisor job, it's a career.

As a HR Advisor you will be working as part of the fast paced and dynamic People Team, team offering support to multiple locations across London and will have the opportunity to expand on your current HR knowledge, qualifications and experience.

What you’ll do:
  • Building effective working relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Providing advise and guidance to support with a range of HR policies and HR related issues to support understanding and ensure good practice.
  • Ensure compliance of relevant HR legalisation
  • Liaise with local management on HR issues and offer sensitive, confidential advise and support.
  • The role will cover all aspects of HR including recruitment and selection, attendance management, employee relations, recognition and reward, performance management and development.
  • Work closely with People Team to support delivering of key objectives.
  • Possess a sound understanding of internal development including organisational policies and practices.
  • Provide expertise on a range of HR Generalist issues

What you need:
Essential Criteria:
  • Level 5 CIPD qualification (or working towards it)
  • Demonstrable experience in an HR Generalist/Advisory role capacity (2 years +)
  • Experience using HR systems
  • IT proficient with excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly, plan well and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communicator - written and verbal - with attention to detail
  • Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Multi site organisational experience
  • Experience with Trade Unions
  • Experience of HR analytics including analysingand benchmarkingdata.
