## About the role## The RoleJoin our Financial Operations team and play a key part in delivering smooth, accurate payment processes across all of Lendable’s lending products. Reporting to the Senior Payments Analyst, you’ll support the day-to-day execution of payment flows, reconciliation, and exception management, while also helping to improve and optimise operational processes as our business grows.You’ll succeed in this role if you have a sharp attention to detail, a solid grasp of payments operations, and enjoy working collaboratively across teams. Experience in fintech or consumer lending, and confidence using back-office lending systems and repayment schedules, are highly sought after. Familiarity with SQL or payment data tools is a strong bonus.## What You’ll Do* Process and reconcile daily incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring customer accounts across all Lendable products are updated promptly and accurately* Manage and resolve payment queries and tickets, collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners to investigate and resolve issues* Prepare and review payment files for upload, support weekly and month-end operational tasks, and assist with reporting requirements* Monitor payment systems and dashboards to identify exceptions, working quickly to resolve discrepancies and ensure operational efficiency* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant payment regulations and compliance requirements* Suggest and support improvements to payment operations processes to keep pace with our growth and maintain best-in-class standards* Support projects and wider financial operations initiatives as needed## What We’re Looking For* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a payments operations or finance operations role, preferably in a fintech or consumer lending business* Solid understanding of UK payment rails (Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS) and experience with payment platforms or providers* Experience with back-office consumer lending systems and working with repayment tables/schedules is highly advantageous* Highly proficient in using Google Sheets/Excel for everyday reconciliation and operational tasks, including Vlookup, pivot tables and data validation.* Familiarity with SQL or working with data systems is a bonus* Excellent organisational skills, able to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment* Diligent and accurate in processing transactions and following procedures* Comfortable with fast-paced, at times ambiguous environments* Proactive communicator, capable of working well within a team and with external partners* Eager to identify process improvements and contribute to a high-performing operations function## Day-to-Day Examples* Accurately allocating and reconciling customer payments and refunds* Managing support queries and tickets related to payments, and ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs* Assisting with the upload and review of payment data for accounting and reporting needs* Liaising with colleagues in finance, customer operations, and compliance to resolve queries and improve processes* Supporting ad-hoc operations, projects and tasks as required* Be part of a team at the centre of a leading fintech’s growth story* Opportunities for personal and career development in a collaborative, ambitious environment* Exposure across all Lendable lending products, working with talented professionals* Competitive salary, flexible benefits, and progression opportunities## Interview Process* A quick phone call with one of the team* A take-home/interactive case study* Interview with a Senior Payments Analyst & Financial Operations manager (in-person)* Final stage with senior Finance leadership* The opportunity to scale up one of the **world’s most successful** fintech companies* **Best-in-class** compensation, including equity* You can work from home **every Monday and Friday** if you wish - on the other days we all come together IRL to be together, build and exchange ideas* **Our in-house chefs** prepare fresh, healthy lunches in the office every Tuesday-Thursday* We care for our Lendies’ well-being both physically and mentally, so we offer coverage when it comes to **private health insurance*** We're an **equal opportunity employer** and are keen to make Lendable the most inclusive and open workspace in London
