Reporting to the Senior Commercial Strategy Manager, will play a pivotal role leading strategic category growth initiatives, combining new business acquisition with high-value partnership development. You will be driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strategic alliances to deliver sustainable competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities
  • Working with the Senior Commercial Strategy Manager, define and execute the overall business development and partnership strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Drive the delivery and execution of agreed revenue growth targets and partnership objectives.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive market expansion, brand growth and profitability, presenting strong business cases to influence senior stakeholders and future decision making.
  • Oversee market research and competitor analysis to understand trends and competitive advantages by informing strategic decisions, generation of leads, and prioritising prospects.
  • Develop tailored proposals and presentations to showcase value propositions, forming and making commercial recommendations to vendors.
  • Lead client acquisition and relationship management to establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key brands, distributors, and retailers.
  • Negotiate high-value agreements and ensure compliance with legal and contractual standards.
  • Actively visit across the Uk key partnerships, supporting ongoing relationships, continuous improvement, growth and development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery, including Commercial Ops, Fulfilment, Digital, Marketing, Legal, QA, Ethical & Sustainability, and Finance.
  • Analyse and action pipeline progress, revenue forecasts, and vendor metrics. Present performance insights to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement, challenging how we do things today, leading and influencing new ways of working.

  • Revenue Growth: Achievement of annual and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Number and quality of high-value partnerships established.
  • Market Expansion: Successful entry into new categories & markets.
  • Executive Reporting: Timely and accurate delivery of performance insights to leadership.
Required skills & experience
  • Extensive experience in business development and partnership management or strategic account management within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and consumer trends.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget ownership and forecasting.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
