A leading care organization based in Trowbridge is seeking a Part Time Support Worker to join their team. You will be supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives. Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Part Time Support Worker to join our incredible team in Trowbridge on a permanent basis.

We have a registered care home where five men who have Learning Disabilities live and enjoy a great life

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of these individuals. Each person has their own unique abilities and needs, and you will be supporting them to live the life they choose.

What we're looking for:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Being able to reduce social isolation of people with a learning disability.
  • Being able to increase the independence and confidence of individuals with a learning disability.
  • Enabling the people with a learning disability to fully access their local communities.

Contract options:

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

  • Days and weekends:8-6pm, 3pm-8pm, 11am-6pm, 7am-6pm 12noon-10pm
  • There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70
  • Will need to have a Full UK Driving Licence

*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references
