A community care charity is seeking part-time Support Practitioners (Responders) in Helensburgh. This role offers £25,224 annually (pro-rata) plus enhanced pay for night shifts. Responsibilities include providing immediate support during emergencies and conducting risk assessments. Candidates must have a full driving license. With a starting salary of £25,224 (pro-rata) plus enhanced pay for night shifts, this is a meaningful role where no two days are the same, providing immediate, person-centred support to people in urgent situations, helping them stay safe and independent at home.
We are looking for three individuals to work 15 hours per week, however candidates looking for more hours are welcome to apply!
Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity. Our Responder service in Helensburgh is all about being there when it matters most. We respond to Telecare Alarms in cases such as a fall, ensuring people receive the right support at the right time. But our commitment doesn’t end there. We go the extra mile by checking in on people later in the day or during the night. This person-centred approach ensures that people not only receive immediate assistance, but also have peace of mind and comfort in their own homes.
As a Support Practitioner (Responder), your role will involve conducting dynamic risk assessments, screening needs through effective communication and working proactively to prevent hospital admissions. While you may be working independently, you won’t be alone; our close-knit team offer support and ensures continuity of care for the people we support.
We are looking for caring people who have a genuine passion for making a positive impact in their community, can stay calm under pressure, and communicate clearly and compassionately with others. You do not need professional experience to join us. We provide comprehensive induction training, including the use of ELK Lifting Cushion to all new team members.
A full driving license is essential for this role, with a company car provided while on shift.
