Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a Part Time Health & Safety Manager who is passionate about creating a safe, compliant, and positive working environment across all areas of the business.

You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust health and safety systems to ensure compliance with legislation, while enabling our teams to deliver excellent service and seamless customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will balance commercial awareness with a strong focus on employee wellbeing and environmental responsibility, ensuring safety is embedded in everything we do.

This role will be onsite spending time at both our Trafford Park, Manchester and Stretton, Warrington site. This role of is part time, working 24 hours per week, pattern to be determined.

What you'll do
  • Effectively manage the health and safety agenda across the business.
  • Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring safe systems of work are in place.
  • Create, implement, and monitor safety improvement plans.
  • Promote and foster a safety-first mindset, ensuring adherence to protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, training logs, and health and safety documentation
  • Stay up to date with health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Investigate all accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support managers and teams in embedding a safety-conscious culture across all sites.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally
What you’ll need
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation, good working practices, Regulatory inspections/servicing compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • IWFM L3 Qualification
  • NEBOSH
  • Experience of managing safety within a field services and logistics environment.
  • Ability to create Risk Assessments, SSoW and SOP’s for varying functions including Warehouse, Office, Transport and Field.
  • Experience applying CAPA, Root Cause and Trend Analysis reporting.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft including excel
  • Self‑motivated with a keen desire to participate as a pro‑active member of the team.
