Trimley St Mary Parish Council invites applications for a highly motivated and confident individual to take up the role of Parish Clerk for 18 hours per week.

The role is home‑based with attendance at Parish Council meetings 11 times per year on the first Monday evening of the month (except August) plus some additional council committee meetings.

Applicants should possess a good standard of education, ideally holding the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or be willing to undertake study towards this qualification. Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the Scribe accounting system are preferable but training available. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential. Experience in local government or a related field is desirable. Excellent IT skills and a willingness to embrace change are required.

The Council offers a competitive salary based on the Local Government Services Pay Agreement pay‑point 18‑24 and membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
