Qualifications

  • Minimum of a degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or Paralegal qualification.

Title: Paralegal

Location: Glasgow City Centre, fully on-site

Hours: 40 hours per week

If you are interested in working as a Paralegal for a market leader in a clinical field, then read on as we seeking a talented Paralegal to join our in-house legal department, within our prestigious city centre office on St Vincent Street.

The role

The role of Paralegal will include the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Document management – collating and checking documents, with preparation of files;
  • Assisting with day to day tasks for the in-house Solicitors;
  • Dealing with any ad hoc duties that may arise;
  • Drafting letters and reports to the client;
  • Research tasks and analysis of documents to provide information to the in-house Solicitors;
  • Ensure files are kept up to date, accurate and in accordance with company procedure;
  • Assisting with drafting of Court documents;
  • Assisting with the preparation of Witness Statements/Precognitions;
  • Assisting with updates to third parties;
  • Focus on dispute resolution
Essential Skills
  • Flexible and willing to work within a busy team environment;
  • Be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Confident in working independently, but also work well within a team;
  • Highly organised;
  • IT literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel;
  • Experience of Scottish Court proceedings essential;
  • Experience of English Court proceedings desirable;
  • Experience of medical malpractice/personal injury/litigation desirable;
  • Preferably have a minimum of a degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or a Paralegal qualification.
