Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to work closely with a Clinical Negligence Solicitor in a growing and busy department. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with experience in clinical negligence to gain hands on exposure in complex, high value claims.

About the Role

You will provide day to day support to the Clinical Negligence Solicitor, assisting with the management of a varied caseload from initial instruction through to settlement or trial. The role offers genuine exposure to claimant clinical negligence work and the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the production of witness statements
  • Reviewing medical records and producing medical chronology
  • Assisting with the production of schedule of losses
  • Reviewing medical experts’ reports
  • Assisting with the initial triage and assessment of potential claims
  • Assisting with the production of case summaries and supporting documentation for legal expenses insurance applications.
About You
  • Have a minimum of one year's experience working in clinical negligence
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with a client-focused approach in line with our core values
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines

Full time hours Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5.15 pm

Salary will be dependent on experience.
