E.J. Lavery & Company is a busy general practice firm which has traded for over 40 years in the Glengormley Area. Due to increasing work demands, we wish to recruit a Paralegal or Paralegal Apprentice to expand our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Principal of the firm and to gain valuable experience. Our friendly team will provide hands‑on training to allow the successful candidate to develop their personal and professional skill set and to advance their career in law.
We will accept applications from either school leavers with A‑Level qualifications (A*‑B grades) or recent graduates with a degree in law or related subjects.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out administrative tasks such as answering phones, photocopying/ scanning, printing, filing, billing and maintaining the office diary. They will gain exposure across several areas of law to include criminal, property, wills & probate, private client and litigation. Under expert guidance they will develop drafting skills in relation to both correspondence and legal documents. In time and with further training they will be required to carry out land registry searches, prepare court bundles and liaise with clients, counsel under the supervision of the wider team.
Salary will be commensurate upon experience and level of qualification.
