What You’ll Do
  • Deliver reactive and planned painting and maintenance works across the hospital estate, ensuring all tasks meet contractual, legislative, statutory and HTM requirements.
  • Interpret, analyse and communicate complex technical information while working closely with engineering specialists, supervisors, and Trust stakeholders.
  • Act as a Competent Person for specified systems, maintaining safe systems of work and full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and site policies.
  • Complete accurate documentation, including cost apportionment, worksheets, and monthly stock counts, while supporting helpdesk and maintenance processes.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and professional support to colleagues and Trust officers, contributing to a collaborative team approach and continuous service improvement.
What You Bring
  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating maturity when working within multi-disciplinary trade teams and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical, calm approach, able to work effectively under pressure and respond to urgent situations.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety at Work Regulations, with a commitment to safe working practices and continuous professional development.
  • Effective verbal, written, and report-writing skills, supported by sound mathematical ability and clear communication at all levels.
  • Full relevant driving licence, with desirable experience or specialist knowledge within a healthcare or Health Service environment.
  • Excellent time management, teamwork, and communication
  • A positive, initiative-taking approach—able to work independently or as part of a team.
