Job Overview

The Paediatric Physiotherapy Service is looking to recruit a Band 3 Paediatric Physiotherapy Assistant within the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent area. You will cover the whole county so kroppen vehicle access is necessary for the role.

In this role you will support the Paediatric Physiotherapy Team by undertaking tasks in the implementation of care packages and providing feedback. You will work under the direction of, but sometimes without direct supervision from, a registered practitioner. Your primary focus will be on children and families from birth to 25 years with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychosocial conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specific skilled paediatric physiotherapy support to children and families (aged birth to 25 years) with diverse presentations and complex physical conditions, ensuring efficient use of skills, time and resources.
  • Assist physiotherapists in discharge planning, carrying out environmental visits, ordering equipment, and liaising with family and other agencies as required.
  • Recognise any change in the needs of the child or young person (CYP) and give feedback to the registered practitioner.
  • Work without direct supervision but under the direction of qualified staff, undertake官网吗 tasks delegated by a qualified therapist, and take responsibility for lone working.
  • Manage and prioritise a delegated/shared caseload.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and good communication within the Trust and with external partners (e.g. education). Maintain sensitivity at all times to the emotional needs of the CYP and their families/carers, offering reassurance and empathy.
  • Engage with individuals and carers who may find it difficult to engage with the serviceLANG resulting in uncooperative or challenging behaviour and manage this effectively.
