Are you a packaging professional with a sharp eye for detail, a solid technical background, and a flair for auditing? We're on the lookout for a Packaging Materials Auditor to join our growing team and help uphold the high standards our clients rely on.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role is all about delivering high-quality audits across a range of packaging materials schemes. You’ll be』 assessing compliance, identifying improvement areas, and supporting our clients to ensure they meet the required standards.

You’ll need to be confident working independently, while also being a strong team player – collaborating closely with our Food & Packaging team and engaging with client teams at all levels.

WhatPT’You’ll Be Doing
Planning
  • Manage your own diary and keep our scheduling team up to date.
  • Respond promptly to audit requests and scheduling communications.
  • Take ownership of your personal development to maintain your auditor status.
Delivering
  • Conduct audits across a variety of packaging schemes and assess client compliance.
  • Liaise professionally with all levels of client personnel.
  • Work closely with the internal Food and Packaging team.
  • Respond to technical queries clearly and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in witness and shadow audits to maintain accreditation standards.
Reporting
  • Produce high-quality audit reports within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure corrective actions are properly followed through.
Resourcing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Spot opportunities to grow and expand our client base.

  • Contributing to our certification body retaining its 5-star rating in scheme owner KPIs.
  • Delivering consistent, high-quality audits and insightful reports.
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients.
What You’ll Bring
  • A minimum of 5 years’ technical or quality experience working with packaging materials, ideally across substrates such as glass, metal, paper, and plastic.
  • Experience in food packaging is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of the Auditing process, with ideally experience in either shadowing audits or auditing
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to a wide audience (including those where English is not the first language).
  • A collaborative,න්නේ, flexible, and proactive mindset.
  • Attention to detail – especially when it comes to audit reports.
  • Willingness to travel (UK, Ireland and overseas).
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level
  • Level 3 or 4 HACCP Qualification and Level 3 or 4 Food Hygiene Qualification
  • Formal qualification in packaging (e.g. Diploma or Degree in Packaging Technology).
  • Management Systems Lead Assessor Qualification.
  • Hazard analysis and risk assessment training.
  • Food safety and hygiene course.
  • Experience of 2nd and/or 3rd party auditing.
