PA Opportunity – Working with Autistic Children (PDA Profile) in Norwich, 31 hrs/month

Location: NR3, Norwich

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to support autistic teenage girls with a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile. Ideal candidates will have either personal or professional experience, or a strong interest in working with neurodivergent children and young people.

Hours are flexible, with the requirement of availability after 3:30pm on weekdays during term time. Weekend and school holiday availability is a plus and offers additional flexibility for working your contracted hours. The current contract runs until March 2026, with the potential to renew annually.

Summary terms and conditions
  • The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 - £13 per hour.
  • Hours and times of work: Flexible, 31 hours per month (contracted until March 2026, with potential for yearly renewal).
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks
  • This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety and First Aid.
Post is subject to the following
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
