Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our 145 Repair Shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations and exceptional leadership and organizational skills. The Operations Manager will oversee all planning and stores and day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in every process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Manage and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve repair and maintenance processes to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and increase quality.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with the CAA, EASA and FAA Part 145 and other relevant aviation regulations and standards.
  • Resource Management: Manage resources, including personnel, equipment and materials, to meet production goals while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Safety: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and incidents.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes to ensure adequate stock levels for repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on operational performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in aviation MRO operations, with a strong understanding of Part 145 regulations.
  • Minimum of 7 years in aviation maintenance and or a formal qualification, such as HND, degree aviation license or similar.
  • Managerial experience in an aviation repair shop or related industry, minimum of 7 years.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency in aviation‑specific software and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Previous Form 4 in 145 is ideal but not essential.
