Job description
Overview

Opportunity to lead our Mental Health Unit that operates both Inpatient and Outpatient Programs. Located at Dudley Private Hospital, Orange, the clinic offers advanced treatment and holistic care options for anxiety, mood disorders and general mental health disorders. The Nurse Unit Manager will lead the unit, working closely with hospital executive and management teams to ensure efficient staff and resource management with the goal of delivering excellent care.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of nurses and clinical support staff within the Mental Health Unit.
  • Collaborate with the hospital executive and management teams to ensure efficient management of staff and resources.
  • Report to the Director of Clinical Services and support continuous improvement in care delivery.
Skills and Experience
  • Relevant registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the mental health nursing specialty.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage financial, human and material resources.
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate continuous improvement programs.
  • Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice.
Highly Desirable
  • Sound computer skills in MS Office suite including Excel.
Remuneration

Base hourly salary of $68.49 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
