Job summary

A leading aerospace and defense company in Wolverhampton seeks an NPI Buyer for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role involves managing the procurement of direct materials for new product introductions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong negotiation and communication skills. The position requires effective collaboration with suppliers and adherence to procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of materials. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in technical purchasing, manufacturing or engineering.
  • Knowledge of AS9145 and Moog’s MAPQP and PPAP frameworks for new product introduction.
  • Experience in influencing decisions and leading projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work with suppliers to prioritize key purchased parts and ensure commit dates meet program need dates.
  • Liaise with suppliers and MOOG Supply Chain functions to coordinate and resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
