We’re looking for a Nanophotonics Engineer to join the Spectacles team to work on the next generation of displays at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

Contribute to the development of micro-displays for Snap's Spectacles AR glasses

Assess electro-optical performance of displays against system requirements

Design and build self-contained demonstration platforms

Support yield improvement activities with data collection and analysis across different process stages

Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop production test system for displays

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated proficiency in operating a variety of parametric test equipment, particularly in the electro-optical domain.

Ability to write software using Python and create automated characterisation tests with NI LabView.

Experience with PCB design and schematic capture

Experience with the Semiconductor industry

A strong enthusiasm for working within the demanding yet stimulating environment on a wide variety of problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field.

A minimum of two years of hands‑on experience working in a technology based environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD or master’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field.

Experience of working in display development
