Multi Trade Operative – Component

As a Multi Trade Operative – Component you will be completing all repair and improvement work safely, efficiently and to client satisfaction. To actively participate in ensuring any safeguarding or repair concerns are noted and reported.

As a Multi Trade Operative – Component you will be completing all repair and improvement work safely, efficiently and to client satisfaction. To actively participate in ensuring any safeguarding or repair concerns are noted and reported.
Location: Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton - On Site
Salary: £31,668 Per annum
Multi Trade Operative – Component Main Duties
- To be able to perform a range of repairs, maintenance and improvement works as required but principally focussed on kitchen and bathroom replacements in occupied and void properties.
- In addition, to carry our responsive repair and void works as required.
- To be able to locate properties in various surrounding areas and effectively use a map and take directions.
- To organise daily jobs effectively and independently, taking into consideration job priority and appointments made.
- To assist colleagues in ensuring timely completion of jobs.
- To document all orders and job sheets efficiently and produce accurate reports regarding works undertaken and properties visited.
- To communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, managers and customers.
- To perform other duties as appropriate to the job level, including providing support to colleagues as directed by the manager.
- To complete jobs in priority and completion date order.
- To attend and participate in training and information sessions relating to health and safety and relevant processes.
- To help us to achieve our aim of becoming the 'contractor of choice' by providing excellent service to our customers and working closely with our partners.
- To ensure compliance with the Group’s health and safety policies.
- To undertake relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) applicable to their professional body and be prepared to undertake training as directed by the Group.
Multi Trade Operative – Component Person Requirements
- NVQ level 2 qualification in core trade (or equivalent).
- NVQ level 3 is desirable.
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
- Takes pride in quality of work
- Demonstrates drive and resilience
- Self-starting and self-motivated.
- Quality and Efficiency Focused
Skills & Competencies For The Role
- Competent in at least 3 of the following trades, two must be Joinery / Plumbing with the third from Plastering / Tiling
- Ability to work as part of a team, both generally and with another multi trade operative.
- High degree of initiative to complete jobs by target date.
- Ability to query jobs and liaise with office staff and managers.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
- Full awareness of relevant H&S requirements and considerations.
- Dealing with members of the public on a regular basis.
- Excellent standards of communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience of working with Housing Associations and delivering repairs is desirable.
- Full driving licence
