A financial technology company is seeking a Mid level Backend Engineer to develop scalable operations and provide high-quality financial support. Our development team is composed of multiple squads, each taking ownership of a vertical within our product. Each squad is composed of a product manager, frontend and backend engineers.
Our front‑end stack is built on React with Typescript, using MUI as a base for our design system, and leveraging microfrontend deployments. Our backend stack is powered by Golang, providing REST APIs.
We are looking for a problem solver who can work with the existing platform and front end engineers, collaborating closely with tech leads, design, and product managers.
As the company continues to scale, there will be opportunities to be involved in the technical architecture and strategy for our products and tech stack. The role has the potential to evolve into a Senior Engineer for the right candidate as the team grows.

Problem solver at heart with an analytical mindset – You should be someone who gets excited by complex problems and can find creative ways to solve them no matter what your level of knowledge and experience with the subject matter. You should be able to digest complexity and develop a plan to move forward, without losing sight of the important details.
Excellent technical knowledge – As an Engineer, you should be an expert in at least one aspect of software development and skilled in other areas. You have learned that delivering great software takes a team and has plenty of pitfalls to avoid.
In return we offer a base salary of £50,000 to £72,500 DOE, plus benefits.
