The role requires scrutinising death reviews and identifying learning opportunities, ensuring accurate death certification. This position offers a part-time, fixed-term contract with a competitive salary ranging from £105,504 to £139,882 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) as a Medical Examiner. Vacancies have arisen within the current team of Medical Examiners based at the County Hospital site in Stafford. We are looking for a qualified clinician who is naturally curious, data‑friendly and ready to lead the way in developing our understanding of the impact of the care we provide in both acute and non‑acute settings. You will be based at the County Hospital office (no remote work) and will be supported with an office base and administrative support.

The role involves scrutinising and reviewing causes of death in collaboration with clinicians and the bereaved, conducting record reviews, and identifying learning opportunities.
