About the role - Mechanical Fitter (Nightshift)

At First Bus, we're proud to keep our communities moving – and our engineers play a key role in making that happen. We're currently looking for a proactive and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team at Doncaster. We'll provide your overalls (PPE) needed to do your job successfully.

Responsibilities
  • Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing and repairs including MOT preps in accordance with FirstBus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures.
  • To fully comply with all HS & E legislation along with Group Policies.
  • To fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain and develop technical skills as required.

40 hours per week Nightshift – 2 week rotating shift pattern of early and lates.

Pay

£22.45 p/h £46,696 p/a

About you
  • Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1 & 2) qualification?
  • Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
  • Must have a full UK driving licence.
  • A PCV licence is desirable or show a willingness to obtain PCV licence is essential as we will help you obtain your PCV.
  • Experience of working with coaches would be advantageous, but not a necessity.
