Due to continuous growth, we are now seeking an Apprentice to join the Oil and gas division within the Aberdeen Business Unit.
An electro-mechanical engineer has responsibility for the safe inspection, overhaul and repair of rotating machines to support various customers within the UK and overseas. The majority of overhauls are carried out on machines required in explosive atmospheres with Oil & Gas being one of the key markets.
The occupation exists within an industry with a high level of safety critical activities, so there is a requirement for a disciplined and responsible approach to work.
Your key responsibilities and accountability on completion of your apprenticeship may include:
This qualification is a Scottish Vocational qualification (SVQ). Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, individuals will have gained a Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering. This is the same level of learning as an SQA Higher (SCQF level 6).
The following qualifications are attained through this apprenticeship:
Apprenticeship candidates will have attained qualifications (National 5 or equivalent) to include as a minimum Mathematics, English, and a Science.
The successful candidate will be required to commit to a 48-month apprenticeship with Quartzelec starting in September 2025 where block release study at Tullos Training campus, Aberdeen will be essential.
