Job description

An established and growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of York is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance function. This is a key role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, offering genuine variety, commercial exposure, and the opportunity to influence decision-making across operations. The business offers hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week on site and a competitive salary of up to £50,000.

The role

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis
• Partner with operational teams to support cost control, margin analysis, and performance reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across manufacturing operations
• Support and contribute to finance-led and cross-functional projects, including process improvement, system enhancements, and operational initiatives
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, systems, and reporting

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant within a manufacturing environment
• Part-qualified or qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or qualified by experience
• Confident working with ERP or manufacturing finance systems
• Commercial mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders
