Maintenance Supervisor - 2 roles available (1x Electrical, 1x Furnace Engineering)

Main Purpose of the Role
Both roles report to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a maintenance team on shifts, including the upkeep of the preventative maintenance (PPM’s) and reactive maintenance records for that shift. Ordering spares where required so plant is correctly maintained and available.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise a site maintenance team across on shifts in line with site regulations on Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Assisting with supervise sub‑contract maintenance operations and contractors.
- Preventative maintenance – implementation of and keeping PM system up to date, checking that all tasks are completed and input into system, able to demonstrate in an audit.
- Working within your team to achieve departmental KPI’s, attending daily meetings and providing information.
- Responsible for raising PO’s for breakdown up to agreed limit, receipt of goods and signing of invoice for payment.
- Assisting Engineering Manager with managing projects as required with various levels of involvement depending on business needs.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Apprentice trained Engineer with working knowledge of Electrical or Furnace Engineering
- Basic Knowledge of Health, Safety and the Environment (e.g. ISOH).
- Comprehensive knowledge of plant and all working processes on site.
- Potential to learn our IT systems including Microsoft products and the PPM system.
- Attention to detail.
- Self‑motivated and determined to succeed.
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly teamwork.
- Ability to plan and organise workload.
- Pro‑active approach.
- Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Must hold a recognised engineering industry qualification.
