Job summary

A prominent British aerospace manufacturer is seeking a qualified Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Sheffield. The role involves performing planned preventative maintenance, installing new equipment, and overseeing mechanical tasks during shutdowns. Candidates should be apprentice trained with experience in a heavy forge environment, and a good knowledge of hydraulics is a plus. Qualifications

  • Apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer with experience in a heavy forge environment.
  • Good knowledge of safety and permit to work systems.
  • Experience with breakdowns on presses, hammers, lathes and borers is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.
  • Install new plant equipment.
  • Plan mechanical maintenance tasks for shutdowns.
  • Develop and upgrade existing equipment.

Skills

Experience in heavy forge environment

Mobile plant maintenance skills
