Overview

Quantum Care is a not-for-profit company providing high-quality care services for over 2000 older people in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. We need the right people to join us and provide the best possible care to our residents, offering support, maintaining dignity and assisting them to enjoy everyday living in our Homes.

As a Maintenance Coordinator, your purpose includes providing a range of day-to-day general building repairs to enhance the fabric of the Care Home and undertaking basic maintenance tasks including minor decoration to ensure a safe and homely environment for residents. The post holder must ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of those affected by the work, including residents, relatives and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of day-to-day general basic building repairs to enhance the fabric of the Care Home.
  • Undertake a range of basic day-to-day repairs and maintenance tasks including minor decoration to ensure a safe and homely environment for residents.
  • Paint and decorate; perform minor repairs; change light bulbs; hang pictures; repair or replace door furniture; install shelves and TV brackets; replace stained or damaged ceiling tiles.
  • Undertake routine inspections of the Home and report issues to the Housekeeper Manager that would benefit from care and maintenance.
  • Clean outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste or parking areas including snow and ice control.
  • Move furniture as required (e.g., tables, hospital beds) and assist with other duties to enable the efficient running of the Home, as requested by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager.
