Overview

Quantum Care is a not-for-profit company providing high-quality care services for over 2000 older people in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. As a Maintenance Coordinator, your purpose includes providing a range of day-to-day general building repairs to enhance the fabric of the Care Home and undertaking basic maintenance tasks including minor decoration to ensure a safe and homely environment for residents. The post holder must ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of those affected by the work, including residents, relatives and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of day-to-day general basic building repairs to enhance the fabric of the Care Home.
• Undertake a range of basic day-to-day repairs and maintenance tasks including minor decoration to ensure a safe and homely environment for residents.
• Paint and decorate; perform minor repairs; change light bulbs; hang pictures; repair or replace door furniture; install shelves and TV brackets; replace stained or damaged ceiling tiles.
• Undertake routine inspections of the Home and report issues to the Housekeeper Manager that would benefit from care and maintenance.
• Clean outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste or parking areas including snow and ice control.
• Move furniture as required (e.g., tables, hospital beds) and assist with other duties to enable the efficient running of the Home, as requested by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager.
